Joe from Powell Brothers Talks New Album and Fried Cheesecake
June 8, 2017 Kevin Tully

The Powell Brothers are building an absurd amount of momentum. Recently the country/americana group has opened for acts such as Willie Nelson, Gary Allen, Josh Turner, Granger SmithSundance Head, Randy Rogers Band, Cody Johnson, Kevin Fowler, and Stoney LaRue.

This momentum is in part due to their new release Introducing… The Powell Brothers, which the Houston-based band put out in February of 2017. The first radio single, “Four Wheel Hotel” is currently #46 on the TRRR, and continues to climb.

The Houston-based band has a couple of Moniker instruments in the lineup as well. Joe plays a Moniker Zuma Semi-hollow bass in Pelham Blue and Blake plays a Moniker Dixie guitar in Forest Green.

Recently we sat down with Joseph Daniel, bass player for The Powell Brothers to talk smoothies, rodeos, Willy Nelson and more. Listen below.
