Interview with Moniker artist Goalkeeper

Interview with Moniker artist Goalkeeper
August 11, 2017 Kevin Tully

Moniker: Tell us about Goalkeeper.

Marc: Goalkeeper is pop-punk band from the South Jersey/ Philadelphia areas. We work to bring an early 2000’s sound while also incorporating the styles of modern day pop punk bands such as State Champs, Seaway, and Man Overboard. With our focus on infectious melodies and fast rhythms, we strive to bring back the fun of going to a punk concert where you will want to scream the lyrics and dance like no one is watching

Moniker: Who are some bands you like?

Marc: Blink-182, New Found Glory, Knuckle Puck, Seaway
The Wonder Years, Trashboat

Moniker: What’s new with the band?

Marc: We recently released our final song called “Pong Partners” on July 11th which completes our debut EP titled “Gut Feeling. We have a music video for it and the entire EP is on all online music sharing sites; Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Bandcamp, etc.

Additionally, we recorded a new single due out in early fall at the Lumberyard Recording Studio working alongside Nik Bruzzese from Man Overboard and Ace Enders from The Early November.
Finally, we were pleased to announce that we are playing this years Four Chord Music Festival in Pittsburgh, PA. This years headliners are The Starting Line and State Champs with supporting acts The Dangerous Summer, Hit the Lights, Punchline, Patent Pending, Speak Low if You Speak Love, Homesafe, Sleep On It, and many more.
Moniker: Why did you choose Moniker for a new guitar?
Marc: I wanted to go with Moniker because I found myself buying and selling guitars constantly. I would buy a guitar and within a month want to buy another one and sell what I have. Moniker allowed me to customize every inch of a guitar so I could get exactly what I was looking for at one shot. Not to mention that their build and playability arguably makes them one of the best guitar companies out there today.
