WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Return any guitar within 7 days of receiving it for a full refund, no questions asked.

In order to initiate a return, email us at info@monikerguitars.com for a return authorization. The guitar must be free of wear and tear and must be shipped back in the original packaging, inside the guitar case. The customer is responsible for the return shipping cost unless the guitar is defective or damaged.

Apparel may be returned within 30 days if it is unwashed and unworn.

WHAT IS YOUR WARRANTY POLICY?

Moniker Guitars wants to see that your instrument is kept in good working order. We offer a manufacturers 1-year warranty following the original purchase of a Moniker guitar. If a component of the guitar has failed due to a factory defect, Moniker will send you a replacement part. The following items are not considered factory defects and are not covered under this warranty: Fret wear, saddle wear, nut wear, strings, batteries, shrinking, discoloration, setups, adjustments or routine maintenance, damage due to extreme temperature or humidity, damage resulting from customization or repair, or normal wear and tear on parts, instruments or cases.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY MONIKER CUSTOM GUITAR TO ARRIVE?

Our turnaround times are updated weekly in the footer of this website. Simply scroll down to the bottom section of the page and look for the current number of weeks it will take to complete your build. Note this is an estimate and it is more important to us that we complete your build accurately and with quality than it is to get it there on the exact day we originally estimated.

WHERE ARE YOUR CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITARS MANUFACTURED AND ASSEMBLED?

Our guitar bodies are made in house on our CNC machine. We also make our own pickguards, control plates and back cavity covers. We have various US based suppliers that supply us with quality parts. All Moniker guitars are painted, finished, wired and assembled in our Austin, TX facility.

CAN YOU MAKE LEFT HANDED CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITARS?

Yes, just look for the left-handed option under the “Orientation” category in any of the guitar configurators.

WHAT CUSTOM ELEMENTS DON'T YOU DO?

We don’t do:

  • Custom inlays
  • Floyd Rose tremolos
  • Double neck guitars
  • Baritone guitars
  • 24 fret necks
  • Active pickups
  • 5 string basses
  • Acoustic guitars

CAN YOU ADD SOMETHING TO MY GUITAR THAT YOU DON'T OFFER?

Know that we’ve chosen the features that we offer on the website very carefully with many factors in mind. Those include compatibility, price, consistency, tone, durability, etc. We believe that in most cases its best for you and us that we avoid prototyping new things on a guitar that you’ve paid for.

Pickups are one category of parts where we do have a lot of flexibility. Want to add pickups that you don’t see on our site? We’re happy to accommodate that. We currently have relationships with Seymour Duncan, Lollar, TV Jones, and ATX Guitarworks who makes our Moniker pickups, We recommend that you check out those companies first. They have LOTS of options and can often expedite our custom order requests.

Here’s a list of things we do not offer… Floyd Rose trems, nitro finish, set necks, 7-string guitars, 5-string basses (for now), active pickups, custom neck profiles, and b-benders.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

We’re happy so ship outside the United States. You can use our Contact form to request a quote. We usually will respond with 24 hours.

Please note, international customers are responsible for paying shipping costs and any import taxes or duties to his or her respective country.

DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN OPTION?

Yes we do! We’re lifelong musicians and we know it can be tough to find cash for new guitars. That’s why we offer two payment plan options. Use PayPal Credit to get 6 months of interest free payments. Pay the guitar off however you like within those 6 months. Read more.

CAN I ADD MY OWN GRAPHICS OR LOGOS TO A MONIKER GUITAR?

Want to add a custom graphic, logo or photograph to your guitar? No problem (generally speaking). Here’s the best way to do this:

1) Design your guitar. Select the “Paint Upgrades” category and choose “graphics.” Click “Select a graphic” and choose the graphic that says “Your Custom Graphic.” This will be the placeholder for your graphic. Position and size the this where you want us to put your graphic (don’t worry about selecting a color). Finish your design and save it using the “save” button in the top right hand corner of the Build page.

2) After your guitar is saved, a unique url is created in the address bar of your web browser. Copy this url.

3) Send an email to info@monikerguitars.com. Include the link you just copied (so we can view your design) and attach the logo or graphic to your email.

4) We’ll respond with a mock-up of your guitar design with the graphic placed on the guitar where you had the placeholder.

DO YOU MAKE BRANDED GUITARS FOR BUSINESSES OR EVENTS?

CAN I TRACK MY SHIPMENT?

For instrument orders, you will receive an email from us with a UPS tracking number once your order has shipped. DHL tracking numbers will be provided for international shipments.

Tracking numbers will be provided for merch orders via email as well.

IS THE AIRE GUITAR CONFIGURATOR BROKEN?

Mark Twain is quoted as saying “Explaining humor is a lot like dissecting a frog, you learn a lot in the process, but in the end you kill it.”

Well, to slow the influx of emails letting us know our “Aire” series guitar configurator is broken, let’s go ahead and kill the intended humor. The Aire guitar series is in fact an air guitar joke. So if you can’t see it in the configurator, its because you’re not visualizing hard enough.
