  • HOW DO I CONTACT MONIKER?

    The best and fastest way to get a response from us is to email us at info@monikerguitars.com

    If you need to reach us by phone you can call (512) 843-2991. However, we do not have a dedicated person to answer phones and the range of inquires we get over the phone typically means someone will have to call you back.

    We’re available Mon-Fri 9:30AM to 5PM Central Time.

    You can also visit our shop and showroom at 4917 S. Congress Ave. Austin, TX 78745.

Customization

  • Can you build this for me?

    We’re focused on building great Moniker electric guitars and basses and not much else. All of the products we offer are listed on our website so please have a look around before contacting us. If you’re not sure after doing some reading, feel free to ask.

    Here’s a list of things we don’t do:

    • Acoustic guitars
    • Guitars that say “Fender”, “Gibson” or any other brand on the headstock (that’s illegal)
    • Body shapes that are not listed on our website
    • Set neck guitars (the bolt-ons worked great for Jimi and Stevie so we’re good with them too)
    • Double neck guitars (because then you’ll want a case for the dang thing and we don’t have one)
    • Drums
    • Children’s instruments
    • Floyd Rose Trems
    • Ebony fretboards
    • Custom Inlays
  • WILL YOU PAINT A GUITAR THAT I ALREADY OWN?

    We’re happy to paint a guitar body or neck for you but only if it has not previously had finish applied to it. This yields the best results. For a quote, please email us at info@monikerguitars.com

  • DO YOU MAKE BRANDED GUITARS FOR BUSINESSES OR EVENTS?

    We do! We’ve built many custom guitars for brands, events, non-profits and other organizations. Email us at info@monikerguitars.com and we’ll be happy to discuss this with you.

  • CAN I ADD MY OWN GRAPHICS OR LOGOS TO A MONIKER GUITAR?

    Want to add a custom graphic, logo or photograph to your guitar? No problem (generally speaking). Here’s the best way to do this:

    1) Design your guitar. Select the “Paint Upgrades” category and choose “graphics.” Click “Select a graphic” and choose the graphic that says “Your Custom Graphic.” This will be the placeholder for your graphic. Position and size the this where you want us to put your graphic (don’t worry about selecting a color). Finish your design and save it using the “save” button in the top right hand corner of the Build page.

    2) After your guitar is saved, a unique url is created in the address bar of your web browser. Copy this url.

    3) Send an email to info@monikerguitars.com. Include the link you just copied (so we can view your design) and attach the logo or graphic to your email.

    4) We’ll respond with a mock-up of your guitar design with the graphic placed on the guitar where you had the placeholder.

     

  • I WANT TO ADD SOMETHING TO MY GUITAR THAT YOU DON’T OFFER. CAN YOU DO THIS?

    Give us a call or send us an email at info@monikerguitars.com and we’ll be happy to try to meet your request. However, we’ve chosen the features that we offer on the website very carefully with many factors in mind. Those include compatibility, price, consistency, tone, durability, etc. We believe that in most cases its best for you and us that we avoid prototyping new things on a guitar that you’ve paid for.

    Pickups are one category of parts where we do have a lot of flexibility. Want to add pickups that you don’t see on our site? We’re happy to accommodate that. We currently have relationships with Seymour Duncan, Lollar, TV Jones, and ATX Guitarworks who makes our Moniker pickups, We recommend that you check out those companies first. They have LOTS of options and can often expedite our custom order requests.

    Here’s a list of things we do not offer… Floyd Rose trems, nitro finish, set necks, 7-string guitars, 5-string basses (for now), active pickups, custom neck profiles, and b-benders.

  • DO YOU DO CUSTOM FRETBOARD INLAYS?

    No, not at this time.

  • CAN YOU MAKE LEFT HANDED CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITARS?

    Yes, just look for the left-handed option under the “Orientation” category in any of the guitar configurators.

  • WHERE ARE YOUR CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITARS MANUFACTURED AND ASSEMBLED?

    Our guitar bodies are made in house on our CNC machine. We also make our own pickguards, control plates and back cavity covers. We have various US based suppliers that supply us with quality parts. All Moniker guitars are painted, finished, wired and assembled in our Austin, TX facility.

  • IS THE AIRE GUITAR CONFIGURATOR BROKEN?

    Mark Twain is quoted as saying “Explaining humor is a lot like dissecting a frog, you learn a lot in the process, but in the end you kill it.”

    Well, to slow the influx of emails letting us know our “Aire” series guitar configurator is broken, let’s go ahead and kill the intended humor. The Aire guitar series is in fact an air guitar joke. So if you can’t see it in the configurator, its because you’re not visualizing hard enough.

  • IS YOUR ORDERING SECURE?

    Our payment processor has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor, and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available. In other words, ordering online with us is safe.

  • DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN OPTION?

    Yes we do! We’re lifelong musicians and we know it can be tough to find cash for new guitars. That’s why we offer two payment plan options.

    PayPal Credit – Use PayPal Credit to get 6 months interest free with no money down. Pay the guitar off however you like within those 6 months. You can extend longer than 6 months but you incur some interest. Contact us to arrange payment via PayPal Credit we’ll send you the info you need to get started.     Affirm – Make easy monthly payments over 3, 6, or 12 months. Just like with PayPal Credit (above) there is a short application and you are notified immediately of your eligibility. Affirm can be used to purchase directly through our website at checkout. Learn more about Affirm here.

  • WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

    We accept all major credit cards and debit cards and PayPal to purchase Moniker guitars and accessories.

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY MONIKER CUSTOM GUITAR TO ARRIVE?

    Our average turnaround time is 4 to 6 weeks (measured from the time when you place the order to when it arrives at your door). This time can change due to the amount of pending orders. You will be given an approximate delivery date upon order submission.

Shipping

  • CAN I TRACK MY SHIPMENT?

    You will receive an email from UPS with a tracking number once your order has shipped. DHL tracking numbers will be provided for international shipments.

  • WHAT SHIPPING OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?

    We offer FREE flat-rate ground shipping via UPS on all domestic guitar orders. For additional shipping options please contact us at the information at the top of this page.

  • DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

    We’re happy so ship outside the US. You can call or email us for a quote at info@monikerguitars.com. International customers are responsible for paying any import taxes or duties to his or her respective country.

Warranty

  • WHAT IS YOUR WARRANTY POLICY?

    Moniker Guitars wants to see that your instrument is kept in good working order. We offer a manufacturers 1-year warranty following the original purchase of a Moniker guitar. If a component of the guitar has failed due to a factory defect, Moniker will send you a replacement part. The following items are not considered factory defects and are not covered under this warranty: Fret wear, saddle wear, nut wear, strings, batteries, shrinking, discoloration, setups, adjustments or routine maintenance, damage due to extreme temperature or humidity, damage resulting from customization or repair, or normal wear and tear on parts, instruments or cases.

  • WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

    Return any guitar within 7 days of receiving it for a full refund, no questions asked.

    In order to initiate a return, email us at info@monikerguitars.com for a return authorization. The guitar must exhibit only normal wear and tear and must be shipped back in the original packaging, inside the guitar case. The customer is responsible for the return shipping cost unless the guitar is defective or damaged.

    PLEASE NOTE: Custom orders that are cancelled by the customer PRIOR to receiving the instrument are subject to a restocking fee of up to 50% of the purchase price. 

    Apparel may be returned within 30 days if it is unwashed and unworn.
